A lot of people have been asking and commenting about my hair recently, wanting to know my secret. I do not spend a lot of time on it. I don’t have the time nor the patience and I am always looking for quick and easy ways to look presentable in the mornings without going full throttle. Unfortunately for me however I cannot just wash it and let it go. It is unruly and needs tamed to look neat, otherwise it will be a curly ball of frizz. If you are a regular on my blog then you know my usual go to look is blow drying it smooth and straight with my GHD dryer. See my post on that here . However sometimes I want a bit more glamour. Some volume and bounce without having to spend ages in front of the mirror. That is where the Remington Big Curl Wand comes into play. It gives Big and Easy curls for the busy mum like me.
So since so many people have been asking I thought I would show you what on do on those days I want a bit of wave in my locks.
BIG SOFT CURLS FOR SOME VOLUME & BOUNCE
The good thing about this curler is that it has a large barrel. Meaning it is quicker to use than a smaller barrel because you use bigger chunks of hair. It also has a temperature gauge so you can adjust the heat according to your hair type.
I do not do this everyday. I save it for days when I know I am going out to meet someone or going into town or something. Otherwise I only blow-dry my hair using my GHD Dryer. For more info see my post Sleek Hair in 10 Minutes!

There you have it. See how easy that was! Big easy curls for the busy mum!
It all started when we were running behind schedule. We were to drive down to Edinburgh for one of our friends daughters birthday party and as usual we were running late. As I scampered around the house trying to get everything together, I felt the stress rising. I needed to get Gabriel dressed and fed, pack his and my own bag, get my self ready, wash my hair and do my make up. SIGH!
The thing is when you have a young child you cannot just pack a few outfits and thats it. You need to bring the whole house! In addition to outfits and spare outfits in cases of leaking nappies or food spills. Its bottles, bibs, snacks, milk, nappies and toiletries. I was cursing myself for not preparing everything the night before. After a few mad dashes, I finally got the last things together while my husband strapped Gabriel in the car. Are we ready? He asked. Yes I replied and off we went to spend the weekend in Edinburgh.
We would usually do the whole 2 and a half hour journey in a oner, but that was no longer an option now with Gabriel who needs to kick his legs and have some food. We stop off and go to unstrap our baby out of the car. Where are his shoes? “I thought you packed them” I said to my husband. “I thought you did” he replied. FUUUUUUUUUCK!
We had forgotten Gabriel’s shoes! Luckily for us there was a Tesco nearby. What was a “quick buy any shoe” situation. Ended up being the day we found one of our favourite pairs. They have become his go to shoes along side his clarks, and he loves them.
With the weather getting colder, they go really well with this duffle coat from John Lewis. He has a few coats for different occasions but this one is by far our favourite. It is so stylish yet casual, and makes him look like a mini adult. Here is his outfit during one of our outings.

As difficult as Motherhood can be sometimes I do feel really blessed. My little boy is growing up to be everything I have ever dreamed he would be. Plus I love creating his Toddler Style. Though he challenges us at times he is genuinely a kind hearted child who loves cuddles. He surprises me every single day with how quickly he seems to pick up on things and learn just by watching what you do.
Motherhood is something I would never trade however I sometimes do miss the freedom I had before children. Being an ex fashion buyer I miss the glitz and glam of my former life in Paris. The Fashion , the shops, the food, just the magic of Paris. So even though a lot of the time I don’t have time to shop for myself and be the fashionista I want to be. I now have my own little doll I can dress up!
The Fashion choices now a days for children is amazing. I can go absolutely crazy when I am shopping and I always seem to end up buying more clothes for Gabriel than for myself.
This is one of the outfits he was rocking this week. For the last 4 months he has been wearing the same pair of sneaker shoes with every outfit. So I thought it was time to work on his shoe collection and that is when I got hold of these gorgeous little baby brogues! They are just the cutest and they smarten up any outfit. He was so chuffed with them he refused to take them off.
He wore them with his skinny acid wash jeans from Marks and Spencers and one of his favourite navy blue woollen jumpers. Unfortunately he cannot seem to wear a decent jumper for more than 2 seconds without drooling or staining it with something as you can see in the photo. Oops! Get the links below
April is here and that means Wedding Season has started! If you are like me, then chances are you have a few weddings to attend this year, and you are excited and panicked at the same time. Excited that you get to attend such a special event, panicked because you have no idea what you are going to wear!
Weddings tend to be the time when you meet up with friends and relatives you have not seen in a long time. And I mean a LONNNG time. Some of these people last saw me when I was slim, radiant and had perfect hair. Now I am rolly polly, tired and not so put together. Do you see the dilemma ?
Nobody wants to be that person who everybody looks at and thinks ‘ Oh she let herself go’. Everybody wants to be beautiful and a wedding is one of those times where you can be guaranteed that everybody is looking at everybody to see how they look and what they are wearing. You want to show that you have not let yourself go. That you still have your mojo despite the fact that you are aging by the minute and are not as perky as you once were.
So the hunt for the perfect dress begins! You want to look classy but with sex appeal. You want something that hides all the lumps and bumps, but doesn’t hang off you like a potato sack. Something that compliments your figure without you looking like you are trying to be something you are not. Sigh. Its hard.
So I put together a few wedding guest outfits that I love and can compliment all different body types. Check them out below, you can also check out ASOS Wedding guest selection here for more ideas.
First dress is from Chi Chi London. This is a such a lovely dress. Chic, feminine and classy, everything you need for a summer wedding! Get it here
ASOS Petite Range: I love this dress! However if you are over 5’5 then it is not for you. The top ruffle is great if you are small chested and are looking for an hour glassy figure look. It is quite fitted so pull out the spanx. Get it here
A stunning and elegant dress by Coast. With its flowing skirt it is perfect for all body types. Good for hiding lumps and bumps while looking classy! Get it here
4. This little floral dress by ASOS is a stunner. The vibrant colours are eye catching, while still being cute and sexy. Would look great with a vibrant lip colour to match. Get it here
5. A beautiful dress in a beautiful colour, this is one for the taller girls amongst us from Paper Dolls Tall Collection. This figure hugging lace dress is one of my favourites. Too bad I don’t have the figure or the height for it. Get it here
6. I love love love this look. It is modern and vintage all in one. It looks like it should be on the set of a Grease remake. The top and skirt are sold separately from Coast. I wish I could pull this off but think I may be too short again. Get it here
